Newton St Petrock Baptist Chapel is a very friendly church, and although our congregation is small we are enthusiastic for Jesus. Despite our average age being over 50, we are young at heart, and absolutely give all our visitors a hearty welcome. We pray for and support each other and for visitors if asked.

Newton St Petrock is situated in a small farming village nestled in the North Devon countryside, half way between Torrington and Holsworthy. The Baptist Chapel was initially built in 1830 and commands views towards Dartmoor. You can find out more about our history here.

Our mission is to:

  • Worship God
  • Love each other, and
  • Serve the community and see His Kingdom grow.

We look forward to welcoming anyone living or staying in the area, to our Sunday morning meeting at 10.30 a.m. with coffee and chat following this.

At special times such as Harvest, which is an important time for our community,  a lunch is held for all folk in the village, in the hall next to the chapel and anyone  would be welcome to join us.
